Have you earned a nursing qualification abroad and want to have it recognized in Germany? We are here to assist you!
With our modular preparation course, we offer personalized, part-time preparation for the knowledge test for nursing professionals. We provide all the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to pass the knowledge test, helping you to achieve recognition of your foreign nursing qualification.
After just 5 months of part-time preparation, you can take the knowledge test at our state-recognized nursing school. Our nursing experts and accredited nursing teachers will support you with intensive preparation, case studies, and exam exercises, as well as prepare you for the practical exam. Additionally, our experienced German language instructors will help you improve your language skills.
Everything you need is available in one place – you can take the knowledge test at our nursing school. We are here to guide you every step of the way and provide support whenever you need it. Our flexible model also allows you to start with an ongoing course.
If you find that you need further assistance beyond the 5 months, we offer the option to participate in up to two intensive courses, each lasting 3 months. This ensures your personal learning success!

The preparatory course including the knowledge test is designed for trained nurses who obtained their qualifications abroad. When applying for recognition as a nursing professional (according to German training regulations) with the Bezirksregierung Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia, you can opt to take a knowledge test. Once you receive a notice from the Bezirksregierung that permits participation in the knowledge test, you can register for our preparatory course.

Course Structure
The course consists of a total of 3 modules:
Module I: 280 Hours
In the first module, essential theoretical and nursing fundamentals are conveyed. To make your start as easy as possible, instruction takes place in person for 5 days during the first week, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This gives you ample time to get to know our nursing school and our teachers. From the second week onward, instruction occurs 2.5 days per week. Here, you will learn all exam content every Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM and deepen your knowledge with our nursing experts. Our flexible course model allows you to join the ongoing course at regular start dates.
All learning content is also made available to you digitally on our online learning platform. You receive learning tasks and online content equivalent to 4 teaching hours, which you can work through at your own pace on Fridays.
You can take the knowledge test after completing the first module.
Module II: 160 Hours
The second module builds on the content of the first module. Nursing knowledge is deepened and expanded further. You will prepare intensively with tasks, cases, and practical exercises for your knowledge test.
After completing the module, you will take the state knowledge test in Module III.
Module III: 120 Hours
In the final module, the focus is on the oral and practical knowledge test, a crucial step towards the state qualification as a nurse. This exam consists of two parts, each examining different aspects of the training and competencies.
Throughout the entire preparation course, we continually assess your learning progress with our experts. Should we determine together that you need additional time for exam preparation, you can book up to two additional intensive courses, which also take place 2.5 days per week.
Once you have completed the preparation course, you will receive an internal certificate from our institution.
The knowledge test consists of an oral and a practical component. The oral exam takes place at our nursing school and is conducted by the instructors you have already met during the preparation course. The practical exam takes place at your employer's site.
Once you have passed both parts of the knowledge test, you can apply for the issuance of your professional license certificate. Of course, we support you throughout the entire process.
Our nursing school is easily accessible and centrally located at Elberfelderstr. 84, 58095 Hagen. Soon, you will find us at our new, modern Health Campus in the old Schraubenfabrik. Here, learning will take place in a unique atmosphere.
