You will gain insight into the skills and abilities required in nursing professions and acquire specialized knowledge and practical experience. The goal is to prepare you for starting a job or training in the nursing field, such as training to become a nursing assistant.

 

The qualification is aimed at individuals who wish to pursue a career in nursing or caregiving and prepare for entry into the profession. The goal is to assess and expand professional knowledge.

By dividing the program into theoretical knowledge transfer and practical workplace training, participants' competencies, motivation, and suitability for the nursing field are assessed. The practical training takes place in recognized senior and care facilities.

  • Theoretical part:

  • Hygiene

  • Providing person-centered and situation-specific care for elderly people

  • Principles of nutrition for the elderly

  • Maintaining and promoting mobility

  • Planning, performing, documenting, and evaluating the care of elderly people

  • Maintaining and promoting one's own health

  • Basic knowledge of dementia

  • Basic knowledge of communication and interaction

  • Practical part:

  • Practical training in a recognized senior or care facility.

 

Upon successful completion, you will receive an internal certificate from the provider as well as the opportunity to qualify for professional training.

Our nursing school is easily accessible and centrally located at Elberfelderstr. 84, 58095 Hagen. Soon, you will find us at our new, modern Health Campus in the old Schraubenfabrik. Here, learning will take place in a unique atmosphere.
