Aschke School of Nursing – The Modern Health Campus Takes New Paths!

More Than Just a School
A new nursing hub is emerging in Hagen. The modern Health Campus of the Aschke School of Nursing is charting new paths with a cutting-edge, digital training concept that sets it apart in the region. This career forge offers modular training and further education opportunities, enabling each student to gradually enter the fields of nursing, health, and social care. Conveniently located in the center of Hagen, near the main train and bus stations, the Aschke School of Nursing is easily accessible.

In October 2020, the Aschke School of Nursing launched its 3-year generalist training program for nursing professionals in its new training facilities in Hagen. The newly founded school embraces unconventional thinking, quickly attracting a multitude of trainees. Despite ongoing growth, the Aschke School of Nursing maintains its familial atmosphere. The experienced and dedicated instructors maintain close communication with their students, and teamwork is highly valued.

To complement its modern training concept, the Aschke School of Nursing collaborates with the largest and most renowned nursing institutions in Hagen and the surrounding area.

Digital Pioneer

In the digitally lagging landscape of Germany, it is particularly the schools that have struggled to keep up with digital advancements.

The Aschke School of Nursing takes a pioneering role in digitalization. Its innovative digitalization concept, which involves students working with iPads and a school cloud, provides future healthcare professionals with a comprehensive, digitally supported learning experience. This includes the state-of-the-art equipment in modern training rooms. This self-contained digital education model has proven highly effective, even during the pandemic. School closures due to COVID-19 were never an issue.

Vision Schraubenfabrik

In 2022, the conversion of the Funcke & Hueck screw factory into a modern health campus began. The listed building is located in close proximity to the train station, between Philippshöhe and Ennepe. As a former industrial site, it offers a unique atmosphere.

In addition to the generously designed training rooms of the Aschke School of Nursing, the health campus will feature a hotel and dining area. Regular events will complement the offerings. The city of Hagen also plans to enhance the quality of life by transforming the surroundings of the old factory into a park.

This will ensure that learning and teaching at the Aschke School of Nursing will take place in a unique setting—a wellness oasis with a loft character, nestled in nature.
